- 3. Zeitzeugin: Charlotte GuthmannA film team accompanies former concentration camp prisoner Charlotte Guthmann on her visit to Theresienstadt. Using archive material, the film begins by providing information on general living conditions in Theresienstadt during the Nazi era. From her memories, the contemporary witness describes what was a cruel reality for the concentration camp prisoners at the time. The alternating montage of archive footage, photo and film material with interview sequences creates an authentic picture. The documentary ends with memories of the liberation of the camp inmates.CC12minJan 3, 1995

- 47. Die Villa am WannseeThe video film presents today's Villa am Wannsee as a memorial site with its special educational concept. Documents on the ‘Wannsee Conference’ encourage viewers to come to terms with the murder of millions of Jewish people during the Nazi era and to recognise the bureaucratic perfection and technical coldness of its preparation. The camera accompanies school classes and trainees during their stay at the memorial and documents the opportunities to follow these traces of German history on a study day.CC7minMay 16, 1995
- 74. Kultur im Dritten ReichProduction of the Federal Agency for Civic Education. Cultural autonomy was unthinkable under the Nazi dictatorship. The film - a montage of contemporary film and photographic documents - shows the effects of the Nazi policy of ‘Gleichschaltung’ on the visual arts, theatre, literature and poetry. Culture and media are functionalised for Nazi propaganda. Opponents of the regime are banned from their professions, imprisoned or forced into exile. Film clips of military torchlight marches and large-scale propaganda rallies demonstrate the Nazi concept of culture: the individual must submit to racial ideology. Media package: Video with accompanying and working material.CC7minFeb 11, 1996
